Lillies was Jens' first traveling war and a return to Jose's home kingdom.  It was also the first time Jens' pavilon was tested to the elements.  Lillies provided a wonderful opportunity to test out the new design.  Both of us were nervous, Jens since it was his first pavilon and first design, and Jose due to the design never being proven and having so much money tied up in garments inside.  We weathered the storm well.  Only a few drips around the rope connections for the walls.  Jens solved that problem with another layer of dags when he added the new sun fly (seen in photos at the bottom of the page).  The rest of the camp only had a few tent casualties.  Needless to say we are very secure in our new home now!

Here in our lovely backyard in Phoenix, we have enough room to set up the pavilon and to try out our new sun fly. The new row of dags to stop the water from weeping in around the eaves can be seen as well. Some of these pictures feel like a glimpse of a tropical paradise nestled among the palms!
